Capt Jimmy

Captain Jimmy was born and raised right across the bayou from Bourgeois Fishing Charters in the town of Jean Lafitte. He explains what drew him towards a career in fishing, and his story is not unlike many others in this small fishing community. “Your Dad fishes, your mom fishes, and even your Great-grandma fishes down here.” Therefore, fishing with his dad and other family members was a common activity growing up. It’s a hobby that most young boys down here dream of turning into a career, not only because of their strong passion for the sport, but it’s engrained in you from an early age. Jimmy has tried many different types of fishing, and if you ask him what type his favorite is, he says, 

“Don’t matter what kind, whatever gets you a bite on the hook!”
