Yesterday, the boys and I went on a quick scout trip to see what was happening at the Islands and boy were they ON! What was initially a slow start to the day with a few spaced-out bites here and there not materializing, quickly turned into a couple of guys amid a feeding frenzy of literally hundreds of schooled-up BULL REDS! For a while there we could have thrown anything at them and THEY WERE EATIN’ IT! Winter is some of the best times to target Bulls out at the Islands so if you’re willing to deal with a little chill and have some waders, we highly recommend this trip ASAP! If the chill’s not for you that's ok! April/May warms up nicely and opens into the PRIMETIME for the aggressive bite and awesome action of schools of hungry Speckled Trout as they move into the islands in droves!
